As a financial advisor, Michael takes the time to examine each investor’s individual needs and helps address their investment goals. With a passion for teaching, Michael also offers seminars, classes, and workshops for serious investors of all types.
Before founding Milestone Investment Management, LLC, Michael worked in commercial banking in Louisiana, Alabama, and Georgia for 24 years. He began his financial planning career in 1997 as an Investment Representative with St. Louis-based Edward Jones and his Professional Plan Consultant by Financial Service Standards in March 2013. He received a BS from Louisiana State University and later went on to graduate from LSU’s Graduate School of Banking. Michael has since received his Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from the College of Financial Planning and his Professional Plan Consultant (PPC) from Financial Service Standards in March 2013. Michael is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network® for the states of AL, AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, LA, NC, OR, SC, TX, and VA and holds the FINRA Series 66 securities registration through Commonwealth. Additionally, Michael holds licenses for life, health, and long-term care insurance and variable life and variable annuities.
Michael is active in the West Georgia Community through the Carrollton Dawn Breakers Rotary Club where he is a past president, the Fairfield Kiwanis Club, and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Board of Directors. Michael previously served on the Board of Directors of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra, served as chairman of the Finance and Stewardship Committee, and chairman of the Board of Trustees of Carrollton First Baptist Church. In 2015, Michael and his wife endowed the Visiting Artist Series at the University of West Georgia School of The Arts. Together, they have also endowed The Fine Arts Trust at Carrollton First Baptist Church.
Michael is married to Andrea Hutchins Stone and they have five children.
